HP Lovecraft

For my birthday I got the cool Library of America edition of HP Lovecraft. Nice paper, hard covers, looks classy on the shelf. Now there is news that Philip K Dick will get a Library of America edition next. This is great, but what about the big three science fiction writers, Asimov, Clarke and Heinlein?

  1. I am currently re-reading early HPL, it's patchy and more like pure fantasy than horror. He occasionally lapses into extremely high quality poetic prose.

    Dave.

Asimov and Clarke manage to make interesting things a bit boring because they drone on too much. A bit like HPL.

    I don't know about Heinlein.
