The Mall of Cthulhu
OK I am writing this review partly to test the blogger/Amazon asociates integration (summary: does not work in Firefox). I recently read this book: The Mall of Cthulhu by Seamus Cooper. This book has the best title in history. It is another modern day Cthulhu book, a bit like Charles Stross's Laundry series. It is wryly written, the jokes are not flagged and you have to keep paying attention. I enjoyed it as light reading.

You Got The Love mixes
You Got The Love was originally recorded by Candi Staton for a (sadly lost) diet video:
Someone got hold of an a capella version and the remixers took over.
There are loads of versions, but the most successful was this one, the Now Voyager mix:
Bringing us up to date, here is the Florence version:
And then there is The XX remix of the Florence version:
As the Guardian said, this is the best remix of a cover version of a refix of a mash-up of an a cappella of a song originally written for a diet video.

David Tennant banknote
This is one of the fake banknotes designed for the scene in The Runaway Bride where money comes flying out of a cashpoint. The text on the note says:
I promise to pay the bearer on demand the sum of ten satsumasand
No second chances — I'm that sort of a man.The money is signed by the creator Peter McKinstry, whose concept artwork for Doctor Who can be seen at his website.
