  1. Never saw this before - fantastic. I think it captures that serenity that she always has, I think its the way she maintains persepctive, by being able to meditate internally while 'playing Queen'. We dont normally see it because shes' on', but the closed eyes are intimate and lead us to a more private self.

  2. Thanks Englishman. There was a nice little piece about this in the Guardian. I think it is good that the Queen gets her portrait done by artists such as Lucien Freud.
